Perth covers an area of 2079.5 sq. miles (5386 sq. Km) and is estimated to have a population of 1.6 million people being the capital and largest city of Western Australia, and the fourth-largest city in Australia. It is one of the most isolated state capitals in the world.

Museums

Heathcote Museum and Gallery offers visitors an insight into the early importance of Point Heathcote and its vital role in the Mental Health facilities that developed throughout WA.

The Museum exhibition themes are, Point Heathcote or Goolugatup from Aboriginal to the present time. Each is an annual exhibition program showcasing the work of local and national artists, curators and community groups working in diverse art media. This heritage listed site also has an award winning playground, barbeque facilities and a restaurant.
