Perth covers an area of 2079.5 sq. miles (5386 sq. Km) and is estimated to have a population of 1.6 million people being the capital and largest city of Western Australia, and the fourth-largest city in Australia. It is one of the most isolated state capitals in the world.

Art Gallery of Western Australia

This is a well-laid-out and attractive gallery. Most outstanding among the international and Australian sections is the Aboriginal art collection, regarded as the finest in Australia. There are regular visiting exhibitions. Free 1-hour tours of a particular collection run Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday at 11am and 1pm; Friday tours are at 12:30pm and 2pm; Saturday at 1pm.
